You run one of the smoothest and friendliest operations I have ever experienced. I must tell you that I have been doing toy and toy train shows for at least 45 years. For our shoppers, we strive to bring you the LARGEST garage sale in our area, keep our cost of admission low and keep true to our Pacific NW roots. For our sellers, we strive to be an affordable location where you can come together, sell your items and make great money. But, the one thing that has not waivered is our commitment to our community, our sellers and our shoppers. Locations and names have changed over the past several years, as we have grown and moved locations. Time for a name change! In 2015, we went from Portland’s LARGEST Garage Sale to NW’S LARGEST Garage Sale & Vintage Sale. We have grown into THREE sales per year and have expanded into Vancouver. It was a huge success!įast forward to Current Sales.
We rented out Hall A and sold out of seller spaces our very first sale! We also were able to pack the EXPO with shoppers, who were all looking for a great find. We had our very first sale Apat the Portland EXPO Center. In 2009 “Portland’s LARGEST Garage Sale” was born. But, since I like crazy, I said, “Let’s do it!” It has been a lot of hard work and late nights, but once we set our minds to something, we go for it! It was during one of those sales that David had the “lightbulb moment” that he wanted to start a community garage sale in the Portland/Vancouver area. For several years, we would travel to Packwood, Washington to sell our own wares at the swap meet there. Up here in the Pacific Northwest, due to our ever-changing weather, we have few swap meets, virtually none of which are outdoors. We were married here in 1988, raised our daughters here and plan to continue to help raise our grandchildren and grow our business here.ĭavid was born and raised in Southern California, home of multitudes of flea markets & outdoor swap meets. We have two wonderful grandsons, Jackson and Emmett, a Granddaughter Addi & Another Baby due in Soon who will no doubt join us in our family run business as they grow older, Vancouver is our home. We, along with our two daughters, Amanda and Katie, and our son-in-law’s, Ben & David operate our family run business out of Vancouver, WA.
